Guidelines for Authors

Preparation of Manuscripts for iRASD-JEE

Section A: Formatting Guidelines

File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Files should not be locked or password protected.

Length: Manuscripts should normally be between 6,000 and 10,000 words, including references, tables, figures, and appendices, unless the nature of the submission justifies a different length. Authors should ensure that the manuscript is concise, complete, and proportionate to its scholarly contribution.

Font and Spacing: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double spacing throughout the manuscript unless otherwise required for tables, figures, or appendices.

Headings: Authors may use up to three levels of headings. Headings should be used consistently and clearly throughout the manuscript.

Language: The language of the manuscript must be English.

Abbreviations: Abbreviations should be defined at first use and kept to a minimum. Non-standard abbreviations should be avoided unless necessary.

Equations: Equations should be prepared using an appropriate equation-editing tool, such as Math Type, Equation Editor, or Microsoft Word’s equation function.

Footnotes: Footnotes should be used sparingly and numbered consecutively where necessary.

Tables and Figures: Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively, clearly titled, and placed close to their first citation in the text. All tables and figures must be referred to in the manuscript. Their formatting should be consistent with APA 7 style where applicable.

Section B: Guidelines for Manuscript Organization

Title Page: The title page should include:

  • title of the article
  • full name(s) of the author(s)
  • institutional affiliation(s)
  • corresponding author’s name, designations, email address and ORCID IDs

Abstract: Each manuscript must include an abstract of up to 250 words summarizing the purpose, methods, principal findings, and conclusion of the study.

Keywords: Authors should provide 4 to 6 keywords that accurately reflect the subject matter of the manuscript.

Introduction: The introduction should present the background of the study, state the research problem or purpose, establish the significance of the work, and position the study within the relevant scholarly context.

Literature Review and Theoretical Framework: This section should critically review the relevant literature, identify the research gap, and explain the theoretical or conceptual basis of the study where applicable.

Data and Methodology: Authors should clearly describe the research design, data sources, materials, procedures, analytical methods, and any statistical or econometric techniques used.

Results and Discussion: This section should present the findings clearly and discuss their meaning and implications. Data presented in tables and figures should not be unnecessarily repeated in the text.

Conclusion: The conclusion should summarize the main findings, scholarly contribution, and implications of the study.

References: References must be prepared in accordance with APA 7 style. Authors may use reference-management software such as EndNote, Zotero, or Mendeley, although this is not mandatory.
