Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern Policy

iRASD Journal of Energy & Environment (iRASD-JEE) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of the scholarly record. Once an article is published as the version of record, post-publication changes will be considered only where they are necessary to correct the record or to alert readers to significant concerns affecting the reliability, interpretation, or integrity of the work.

Requests for post-publication changes may be reviewed by the journal and, where appropriate, by the publisher. Not all requests will result in amendment. Minor typographical or stylistic changes that do not affect the reading, indexing, interpretation, or integrity of the article may not require a formal post-publication notice.

Where an error or omission does not invalidate the overall findings or scholarly integrity of the article, the journal may issue a correction notice. Corrections may take the form of an erratum, corrigendum, or other formal notice, as appropriate. Any correction notice will clearly describe the amendment and will be linked to the original article.

Where serious concerns arise regarding the validity, reliability, or integrity of a published article, but an investigation is ongoing or inconclusive, the journal may issue an editorial expression of concern to alert readers. Such a notice may later be replaced or supplemented by a correction or retraction, depending on the outcome of the review.

A retraction may be issued where, following editorial assessment and appropriate inquiry, the article’s findings or conclusions can no longer be relied upon, including in cases involving major error, research or publication misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, compromised peer review, or inability to verify the underlying research. Retraction is intended to correct the literature and should not be regarded as a punitive measure.

Retraction notices will state the reason for retraction and will be linked to the original article. Where feasible, the original article will remain available as part of the scholarly record and will be clearly marked as retracted.

Where appropriate, the journal may also notify authors, institutions, publishers, journals, or other relevant bodies as part of the correction or retraction process. All such matters will be handled in accordance with the journal’s ethical policies and relevant COPE guidance.
