Abstract

Instructional performance is one of the most important key factors for educational effectiveness. Despite its importance, increased educational demands have intensified concerns regarding the serious consequences affecting instructional performance. Drawing on the Job Demands–Resources Theory (JD-R), Organizational Support Theory, and Ergonomics Theory, this study will shed light on the effects of teacher fatigue and management support on instructional performance, while investigating the mediating role of Sit-Stand Flexibility among school teachers. Instructional effectiveness is expected to diminish due to teacher fatigue. It seriously affects the physical, cognitive, and emotional resources that are required for effective classroom delivery. At the same time, management support is another critical organizational pillar that enhances performance. The study further proposes that the mediating role of Sit-Stand Flexibility also contributes to the instructional performance of school teachers. A quantitative, cross-sectional research design is proposed using survey data collected from 180 school teachers. The findings are expected to contribute to the educational management and ergonomics literature.
