iRASD-JOM aims to provide a valued platform for research on management-orientated themes and matters.   • The iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) employs a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed throughout the review process. This unbiased approach is crucial in maintaining the integrity and fairness of the evaluation.
  • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the field relevant to the submitted manuscript. The iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) maintains a diverse and global pool of reviewers drawn from different regions and academic institutions worldwide. We aim to assemble a reviewer panel encompassing many perspectives and ensuring a thorough evaluation of the submitted work.
  • Reviewers are chosen for their specialized knowledge of the subject matter of the submitted article. We strive to match manuscripts with reviewers with the expertise to provide constructive feedback and insightful evaluations.

Guidelines for Reviewers

Reviewers are responsible for objectivity, professionalism, impartiality, and confidentiality when assessing content quality.

iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) follows a double-blind peer-review process. Where the identities of authors and reviewers are hidden from each other, its purpose is to improve the quality of content and of the scientific material under review that is ultimately published. Conscientious review is a time-consuming effort but essential to ensure the quality of scientific journals. The iRASD-JOM is very grateful for the time and effort reviewers invest in this process. iRASD-JOM adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and strives to ensure that the review process is fair, unbiased, and timely. Decisions to accept a manuscript for publication depend on the importance of the investigated issue, originality, clarity, validity, and relevance of the work to the scope of the iRASD-JOM. Therefore, reviewers have a significant decision on whether to accept an article for publication.

General Notes

  • Reviews should be conducted fairly and objectively. Personal criticism of the Author is inappropriate. If the research reported in the manuscript is flawed, criticize the science, not the scientist. Personal criticism will likely lead an author to ignore valuable comments, making your review less beneficial to your field. Criticisms should be objective, not merely differences of opinion, and intended to help the Author improve their paper.
  • It would help if you declined to review manuscripts in which you have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
  • If your previous or present connection with the Author (s) or an author's institution might be construed as creating a conflict of interest, but no actual conflict exists, please include this issue in your confidential comments to the editor. If in doubt, please contact the editor who requested the review before accepting it.
  • Respect the confidentiality of the manuscript, which is confidently sent to you. It would help if you did not discuss unpublished manuscripts with colleagues or use the information in your work. If you feel a colleague is more qualified than you to review the paper, do not pass the manuscript on to that person without first requesting permission from the editor to do so. The review and recommendation should also be considered confidential.
  • If you remain anonymous, ensure that you avoid comments to the authors that might serve as clues to your identity.

Comments to Editor

Your comments to the Editor will be submitted to the Managing Editor and the Editor-in-Chief only. These should include any possible conflicts of interest. Comments and constructive criticism of the manuscript should be included in the Comments to the Author section.

Comments to the Author (s)

Your Comments to the Author (s) will be submitted to the Managing Editor and the Editor-in-Chief. They are also communicated to the Author (s) and the other anonymous manuscript reviewers once the editor has decided.

Comments should be constructive and designed to enhance the manuscript. It would help if you considered yourself the Author's mentor. Make your comments as complete and detailed as possible. Express your views clearly with supporting arguments and references as necessary. Include explicit opinions about the manuscript's strengths, weaknesses, and relevance, as well as its originality and importance to the field. Specific comments that cite line numbers are most helpful. If you feel unqualified to address specific aspects of the manuscript, please include a statement to identify these areas.

Begin by identifying the significant contributions of the paper. What are its major strengths and weaknesses, and is it suitable for publication? Please include general and specific comments on these questions and emphasize your most significant points.

Support your general comments, positive or negative, with specific evidence.

You may do so if you wish to comment directly on the manuscript pdf using the Note tool. However, we do not expect you to copy-edit the manuscript. If you annotate the pdf, please include a summary of your general comments. You may also upload other documents (e.g., your review as a document and valuable references). The journal editorial assistant will remove your identity from the properties of these documents to maintain your anonymity.

Points to consider in your review include:

  • Is the topic of the manuscript appropriate for the iRASD-JOM? Is the information of significant interest to the broad readership of the iRASD-JOM?
  • Do the title, abstract, keywords, introduction, and conclusions accurately and consistently reflect the paper's major point(s)?
  • Is the writing concise, easy to follow, and engaging without repetition?
  • Is the aim clearly stated?
  • Are the methods appropriate, scientifically sound, current, and described clearly enough that someone else could repeat the work?
  • Is the research ethical, and have the appropriate approvals/consent been obtained?
  • Are appropriate statistical/econometric analyses used? Are they sufficiently justified and explained? Are statements of significance justified?
  • When results are stated in the text of the paper, are they supported by data? Can you verify them easily by examining tables and figures? Are any of the results counterintuitive?

  • Are the conclusions supported by the data presented?
  • Are the references cited the most appropriate to support the manuscript? Are citations provided for all assertions of fact not supported by the data in this paper? Are any key citations missing?
  • Consider the length of the manuscript relative to the content. Should any portions of the paper be expanded, condensed, combined, or deleted? (Please be specific in your advice, and do not simply advise overall shortening by x%).
  • Does the manuscript comply with the Instructions for Authors?

Please also comment on any possible research or publication misconduct, such as:

  • Does this manuscript report data or conclusions that have been published or are in the press? If so, please provide details.
  • Has the Author plagiarised another publication?
  • Is there any indication that the data has been fabricated or inappropriately manipulated?

iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal that is also an open-access journal. Open access means content is freely available to the user or institution without charge. Users are allowed to read, download, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose without asking prior permission from the publisher or the Author. This statement follows the BOAI definition of open access.

iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) is committed to promoting the global knowledge exchange by making free research available to the public. Therefore, it immediately provides open access to all the published content. The full text is available in the official website Archives section.

Publication Policy

iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) adheres to the mission of non-discriminatory publication of high-quality research. For this purpose, the editorial team and reviewers must observe the ethical duties of making unbiased decisions by maintaining the privacy policy and providing constructive feedback after a standards evaluation procedure.

Manuscripts with standard econometric methods and empirical and theoretical investigations of local and international issues are preferred to serve potential policy targets.

Publication Fee

iRASD Journal of Management (JOM) does not charge a submission fee to encourage free submissions. However, authors pay a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of peer review administration and Management, professional production of articles in PDF and other formats, website management, membership of various international organizations like CrossRef, iThenticate, and Portico, etc. and dissemination of published papers in various venues, in addition to other publishing costs. 

APC is based on the affiliation of a corresponding author. Please see the table below for details about APC.

The following activities and operations will explain how our APC is justified.

1.Publishing Platform/ Website

iRASD JOM develops and maintains its own online submission and peer-review website. We also run several platforms to offer different types of services to research scholars.

2. Publishing Operations

2.1. Triaging—filtering of papers upon submission by internal staff and editorial board members.

2.2. Organization of peer-review— iRASD JOM provides a high degree of assistance to Academic Editors so they can only focus on editorial decisions. We employ in-house editors to invite reviewers, collect review reports, communicate with authors and reviewers, correspond with authors about revisions, etc.

2.3. Production—including copy-editing, typesetting, copy-editing XML and PDF conversion, and language editing. iRASD JOM provides excellent quality English editing for all accepted papers in the APC.

2.4. Proofreading—Corresponding with authors to approve the final text and requesting any missing information.

2.5. Indexing & archiving— iRASD JOM has a team dedicated to indexing relations that advise on the eligibility of a journal for application to be indexed in different databases. Our team communicates closely with the contact persons at the different databases and receives regular updates on the status of applications. We dedicate time to keep ourselves updated on any evaluation criteria or application procedure changes.

3. Marketing and Communication

iRASD promotes its journals and articles through sponsorships of conferences, scholarly society events, other promotional activities, and a series of awards to support researchers.

4. General

4.1. Management and administration include costs related to salaries of non-editorial staff and other business costs, including CrossRef and iThenticate membership, DOI charges, Portico, and membership of other paid indexing services.

Corresponding authors are advised to contact the journal editor about account information once a manuscript is accepted for final publication. 

Note: iRASD JOM will no longer officially blacklist authors who withdraw their manuscripts before the completion of the peer-review process. However, using peer-reviewed resources without the intent or ability to publish is problematic and has serious consequences (Withdrawal Policy) for the authors. Before submitting, please ensure you have the funds to pay the APC if accepted.

Ethical and Malpractice Policy

Ethical Policy

iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) follows rigorous ethical standards for publishing articles. iRASD-JOM ethics and malpractice statement is conceptualized on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. The Author (s) are solely responsible for the originality and reliability of the research outcomes and must comply with the following rules.

  • Data and findings of the research shall be provided only if they are real and reliable.
  • The findings of the highlighted research issue must be original.
  • The contribution of other works shall be acknowledged and referred to appropriately. Data sources and supporting evidence must be cited accurately in the text and references section.
  • Any manuscript shall not be submitted if it is already published or sent for publication in another journal.
  • There shall be no violation of copyrights in the text, tables, graphics, and formulas of the manuscript.
  • iRASD-JOM strictly condemns breaches of research ethics and copyright infringement in submitted articles. Authors are responsible for any manifestations of plagiarism in their manuscripts, and the editorial board takes rigorous steps to prevent such violations.
  • The authors are accountable for the accuracy of provided information, i.e., facts, personal, geographical, companies, organizational and institutional names, etc. 
  • The opinions expressed in research articles are by the authors and do not necessarily suggest the viewpoints of the editorial board. Therefore, no obligation is imposed on the iRASD-JOM editorial team in this context.

Complaint & Misconduct Policy

 iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) welcomes complaints by considering them an opportunity for improvement and aims to respond quickly and constructively.

What is a Complaint?

Our comprehension of a complaint is as follows:

  1. The complainant defines his or her expression of unhappiness as a complaint.
  2. We infer that the complainant is not simply disagreeing with a decision we have made or something we have published but thinks there has been a process failure—for example, an unacceptably long delay or a rude response—or a severe misjudgment.
  3. The complaint must be about something within the responsibility of JOMs' editorial division, i.e., content or process.

Complaint Making Process

  • All complaints will be acknowledged.
  • Complaints should be made either by sending an email to editor.jom@internationalrasd.org or by posting to the address "House No. 219, Model Town B, Bahawalpur, Pakistan".
  • Whenever possible, complaints will be dealt with by the editorial team member to whom they are made. If that person cannot deal with the complaint, he or she will refer it to the editor-in-chief.
  • If the complainant remains unhappy, complaints should be escalated to the editor-in-chief, whose decision is final.
  • If possible, a definitive response will be made within two weeks. If this is not possible, an interim response will be given within two weeks. Interim responses will be provided until the complaint is finally resolved.

 The process to Deal with Issues of Misconduct

iRASD-JOM believes institutions and journals should promote best practices among researchers, authors, reviewers, and editors. To maintain integrity and deal with misconduct allegations, the editor can be contacted at editor.jom@internationalrasd.org or the official address "House No. 219, Model Town B, Bahawalpur, Pakistan". The editor is responsible for investigating misconduct by researchers and finding misconduct that could affect the reliability or attribution of published work (e.g., fabrication or plagiarism). Where possible, the evidence could be provided to support allegations of misconduct or questionable practices (e.g. copies of overlapping publications, evidence of plagiarism). Retractions or corrections are issued when findings of misconduct arising from appropriate investigations are provided. Hence, it is advised that the authors and reviewers read the guidelines provided on the journal's website and strictly adhere to all aspects of publication ethics.

Corrections and Retractions Policy

If there is suspicion of misbehaviour or alleged fraud, the journals and/or publisher will investigate following COPE guidelines. If there are valid concerns after an investigation, the authors will be contacted and allowed to address the issue. Depending on the situation, this may result in the journal and/or publisher's implementation of the following measures, including, but not limited to:

  • Rejecting the manuscript if it is still under consideration.
  • If the article has already been published online, depending on the nature and severity of the infraction:
  1. An erratum/correction may be included in the article.
  2. The article may be placed with an editor's note or editorial expression of concern.
  3. Alternatively, in severe cases, retraction of the article may occur.

The reason will be given in the published erratum/correction, editor's note, editorial expression of concern, or retraction notice.

NOTE: Please note that retraction means that the article is maintained on the platform watermarked "retracted," and the explanation is provided in a note linked to the watermarked article.

  • The Author's institution may be informed.
  • A notice of suspected transgression of ethical standards in the peer review system may be included as part of the Author's and article's bibliographic record.

Please see the author name change policy for the authors intending to change their names and wishing to correct them in their published works.

Author Name Change

An author who has changed their names for reasons such as gender transition or religious conversion may request for their names, pronouns, and other relevant biographical information to be corrected on papers published before the change.  The author can choose for this correction to happen silently, in which case there will be no note flagging the change on either the PDF or the HTML of the paper. Alternatively, they may do so by a formal public author correction.

Removal of Published Content

In exceptional circumstances, the iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD JOM) reserves the right to remove an article, chapter, book, or other content from the online platforms of the International Research Alliance for Sustainable Development (iRASD). Such action may be taken when (i) iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD JOM) has been advised that content is defamatory, infringes a third party's intellectual property right, right to privacy, or other legal rights, or is otherwise unlawful; (ii) a court or government order has been issued, or is likely to be issued, requiring removal of such content; (iii) content, if acted upon, would pose an immediate and serious risk to health. Removal may be temporary or permanent. Bibliographic metadata (e.g. title and authors) will be retained and accompanied by a statement explaining why the content has been removed.

Authorship Criteria

Authorship confers credit and has important academic, social, and financial implications. Authorship also implies responsibility and accountability for published work. The following recommendations are intended to ensure that contributors who have made substantive intellectual contributions to a paper are given credit as authors and that contributors credited as authors understand their role in taking responsibility and being accountable for what is published.

The iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) recommends that authorship be based on any of the following criteria:

Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; OR; Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content;

AND

Final approval of the version to be published; AND; Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

In addition to being accountable for the parts of the work he or she has done, an author should be able to identify which co-authors are responsible for specific other parts of the work. In addition, authors should have confidence in the integrity of the contributions of their co-authors.

Conflict of Interest Policy

The editorial committee is responsible for avoiding any conflict of interest in the research publications that may affect the reviewers' interpretation of results and assessment. In case of any potential conflict of interest, the Author (s) shall provide a clear statement about bearing the responsibility. They shall disclose the possible conflicts of interest that can influence the decision about the publication of the manuscript.      

The editorial board will not consider manuscripts for review if competing interests arise from the collaborative or competitive connections of any of the Author (s) or relevant institutions. It is desired that all contributors shall disclose conflicting interests while submitting the manuscript. If there is any such revelation after the research is published, corrections or expressions of interest and retraction will be issued where needed.

Plagiarism Screening Policy

iRASD Journal of Management is published by the International Research Alliance for Sustainable Development - iRASDiRASD has a membership of iThenticate an online tool to help the editors verify the originality of submitted manuscripts. All submitted manuscripts are scanned with Turnitin to calculate the similarity index or plagiarism.

What is PLAGIARISM?

Plagiarism is when an author attempts to pass off someone else work as his or her own. Duplicate publication, sometimes called self-plagiarism, occurs when an author reuses substantial parts of his or her published work without providing the appropriate references. This can range from getting an identical paper published in multiple journals to salami-slicing, where authors add small amounts of new data to a previous paper.

PLAGIARISM Policy of iRASD Journal of Management

  1. iRASD Journal of Management is committed to promoting and disseminating original research work related to economic sciences.
  2. Plagiarism comes in several forms, so the IRASD Journal of Management cannot tolerate plagiarism in any form at any stage as it shows unethical publishing behaviour.
  3. All selected manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism by using iThenticate software.
  4. The manuscript in which the plagiarism is detected is handled based on the extent of the plagiarism. A manuscript with less than a 19% similarity index can be accepted for publication.
  5. If the manuscript has plagiarism < 15%, the manuscript will be given an ID and sent to the review process.
  6. If the manuscript has plagiarism of 15-30%, the manuscript will be given an ID and sent back to the Author for content revision.
  7. If plagiarism is detected by more than 30%, it is found that the authors are very unlikely to revise the manuscript and submit the revised version. However, authors are welcome to do the required revisions and submit the manuscript as a new submission.

In the case of suspected plagiarism in a published article:

  1. A specific process is followed to manage a case of plagiarism. The iRASD Journal of Management follows the guidelines in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) flowcharts (http://publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts).
  2. The person who advised us of the situation is informed about the process to be followed.
  3. The articles are compared to check the degree of copying.
  4. All Editors of the iRASD Journal of Management are informed and asked for their comments.
  5. The corresponding author of the article in question is contacted with documentary evidence of the plagiarism case and is asked for a response.
  6. If the authors are found guilty of plagiarism
    1. The editor of the journal where the original plagiarized article was published and the authors of the plagiarized article are informed.
    2. The iRASD Journal of Management publishes an official retraction of the paper.
    3. The online version of the iRASD Journal of Management article is withdrawn from the OJS host site, and
    4. The iRASD Journal of Management will not publish any article by any concerned authors for five years.

Archiving Policy

iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) preserves its published content on a long-term basis, and for this purpose, we submit it to Portico.

Repository Policy

iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) allows authors to submit their published work in any institutional or other repositories like Arxiv, PubMed Central, Zenodo, OpenAIRE, CORE, and other research institutions' repositories.

Licensing Policy

iRASD Journal of Management (iRASD-JOM) uses a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License to protect the Author's work from misuse. Under this license, the Author (s) published in iRASD-JOM retain their scholarly work's copyright and publishing rights. All other authors using the content of iRASD-JOM are required to cite the names of the Author (s) and the journal in their work. Articles of iRASD-JOM can be read and shared for noncommercial purposes under the following conditions:

Copyright Policy
